Public perception of the dangers of alcohol and its related problems is at an all time high. As responsible outfitters, we discourage use of any alcohol at all while experiencing the outdoor opportunites that are offered here. While we will not go through coolers and personal effects to prevent usage of alcohol, there are several new policies which will be in effect here at James River Runners, LLC You are a visitor to this beautiful area. Don't ruin the experience by exhibiting unreasonable behavior.
Many of us enjoy an occasional "adult beverage", but overindulgence is something that will be highly frowned upon here and may result in legal action against those who choose in indulge. To prevent problems the following procedures will be followed:

1.

We simply will not provide outfitting services to those who choose to abuse alcohol and break the laws regulating its usage.

2. There will be no open alcohol allowed in our parking lots, vehicles, put in or take out spots, or office.
3. Open alcohol is against the law at put in or take out spots and public areas.

Alcohol in our campgrounds is a personal choice, can be dangerous, and is not encouraged by James River Runners, LLC Those who abuse the privilege by exhibiting unreasonable behavior will be escorted out of the campgrounds with NO refund and will be subject to possible legal repercussions. Remember that your actions reflect on both you and your entire party.

5. Public intoxication is against the law and local police will enforce this.
6. The public is forewarned that enforcement roadblocks have become commonplace and designated drivers are a necessity for the safety of all of us.
Facts
30% of all boating accidents involve the use of alcohol.
Alcohol creates bad public perception and is not necessary to enjoy the outdoor experience.
Causal problems may include littering, profanity, loudness, and outrageous or dangerous behavior.
Underage drinking is ILLEGAL and associated laws will be enforced by county police.
