you but there are certain times that require us to make adjustments.
Each
site has a park service type picnic table and a fire pit for campfires.
These pits can accommodate grill tops that campers may want to bring.
Some campers bring their propane grills from home to provide for reliable
cooking. We keep all camp areas mowed and kept very neat. We are fortunate
that we rarely have problems with mosquitoes but you should come prepared
for the normal insects you would encounter in the woods or in field
areas. Campers are welcome to bring their own firewood (NO treated lumber
or nails) or we can provide firewood (limited) at $20 per load at
normal business operating hours only (8am to 6pm).
We have
several areas designed for sports here at our base camp. There is a
volleyball court area, a paved basketball court and field areas suitable
for throwing frisbees, football, or playing croquet or soccer. You may
fish by wading or from the bank. You may also swim as long as you realize
that you are doing so AT YOUR OWN RISK and
that there are NO LIFEGUARDS on duty.
