Rt 20 at Rt 726 will be closed for the annual July 4th (Friday) parade in Scottsville between 9:30am and 12:30pm. The detour directions are:

3 miles NORTH (before the town) of Scottsville take turn to the right on Route 626. Proceed about a mile or so to stop sign located on Route 6. Go straight across Route 6 and proceed approximately 3 miles to a "T" intersection. Turn LEFT onto Route 627 and proceed about a mile to triangular intersection. Bear LEFT (route number changes to 726) and proceed about 1.5 miles where you will notice that the road bears left to go to Scottsville........make sure to go STRAIGHT here (DO NOT TURN LEFT) and the route number changes to 625 (Hatton Ferry Road). Go 2 miles and you will be at the James River Runners location at Hatton Ferry.
