WHAT'S TO DO??
Picnicking:
Bring your cooler with lunch and
beverages(no styrofoam coolers or glass). Larger groups may also reserve
picnic grounds for $5 per person.

Camping: Primitive
riverside campsites. Spend a pre-trip or post-trip (or both!) evening on The
James. Individual and group sites at $8 per person. Group rates for 22 or more
at $7.
Activities include volleyball, basketball, swimming, fishing, bird watching
and sightseeing.

Fishing:
The James River and its tributaries are noted for some
of the best smallmouth bass fishing in the USA. Spend an afternoon, day, or
more
fishing for that "citation". Among the many species you will find: smallmouth
and largemouth bass, bluegill and pumpkinseed, pickerel, long nose gar, carp,
and catfish. Bird/Wildlife
Observations: Great
blue herons, ducks, North Canada
geese, hawks, eagles, wild turkeys, whitetail deer, raccoons, beaver, otters,
muskrats, mink, and more!
Exploring,
Scenery: The James has numerous islands (some more
than a mile long), as well as feeder streams and tributaries, adding yet another
dimension to your trip.
Wintergreen Resort: One of the
East's best resorts for mountaintop golfing ,ski, and dining activities. Summertime
is very active at Wintergreen with many programs available in the cool mountain

Historical Sites: Monticello, Ash Lawn,
University of Virginia, and Hatton Ferry
nearby.

tours - Motel lodging available within 30 minutes drive.
RESERVATIONS
Reservations
are strongly recommended to assure you of your equipment and time slot. To reserve
immediately, call us at 434-286-2338.Total
amount of trip fee required as deposit for guaranteed reservations. Payment
by cash, travelers checks, money orders, or personal checks only. Last minute
cancellations or "no shows" will forfeit any deposits submitted. NO
CREDIT CARDS ARE ACCEPTED which keeps our prices as low as possible.
We reserve the right to cancel any trip due to weather or river conditions.
Trip members receive full refund or may reschedule without penalty, otherwise
trips run rain or shine! Call for river report prior to your trip concerning
our vicinity forecasts regarding weather and river conditions. YOU
MUST BE IN GOOD PHYSICAL SHAPE AND BE ABLE TO SWIM TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY OF
OUR EXCURSIONS!

All trips are self guided and at participants own risk.
